David Schrader - Saxophones

For over 20 years, David has been with the San Francisco Saxophone Quartet.  He also performs with the San Francisco Symphony and San Francisco Opera.  He has an impressive list of professional references and makes his living in Sonoma County, playing Rock & Roll, Funk, Rhythm & Blues, and Jazz.

Wayne De La Cruz - Hammond Organ, Piano, Keyboards

Bay area native Wayne De La Cruz is an extraordinary and versatile keyboardist with a true ability to make the music happen in any situation.  In addition to performing as a sideman and band leader since 1973, he has recorded, arranged, composed and produced as well.  Over the years he has gained a reputation and is in high demand for his Hammond B-3 organ expertise as well as his piano and multi-keyboard ability.  His jazz organ group "The Big Trio" plays a variety of styles from easy Swing, Be-Bop and Latin to Funk and Down Home Blues and has become a favorite back up band for many vocalist and instrumentalist in the area.  Wayne has performed shows as accompanist with Maria Muldaur, Joe Louis Walker, Mary Wells, The Mills Bros, Jackie King (jazz guitarist), Mimi Fox (jazz guitarist), Terri Lynn Carrington (jazz drummer) and Allison Miller (jazz drummer).

Kurt Medeiros - Drums

Kurt has worked as a professional studio musician for years.  His list of recordings includes commercials, films and shows.   He has also performed with the Coasters, the Drifters, and the Diamonds and toured with Showdown throughout the United States and Canada.

    Carl J. Bowers - Bass Guitar, Electric Upright Bass, Tenor Trombone

Carl performed the works of classical composers on piano, flute and guitar before taking an interest in jazz trombone and the electric bass in 1973.  Strong reading skills afforded him the opportunity to work with greats like David Baker, Louis Mandrell, and many more.  Residing in Sonoma County, he performs regularly in the studio and on the stage.  BesidesClick for more information about Shade!, he is currently a member of Case of the Willys and Volker Strifler.
